Why Camping
We feel the World has lost its connection with our Mother, the earth, and we believe in restoring the balance of nature and technology.
If you have ever been camping, you know the amount of work it takes to pull it off. Even though we extend an extreme amount of time, money, resources and physical labor to make this happen, it's worth it to us because we know the importance of connecting to nature. We feel like most of the earth has become so disconnected and we are feeling a call to restore this connection with our roots.
It is not easy to have to battle the elements and "rough it" under the stars, but it truly helps one realize the blessings of everyday living given to us by the generations that have come before. Most people live in cities with technology overload and disconnected from our Source and nature. We have had people come from the urban city lifestyle and realize they actually crave and want more nature in their lives. It is so easy to get caught up in our glamorous lives with the modern day conveniences of air conditioning, food, shelter, heat, running water, etc. Here at Full Moon Camping Retreats, we have had many experiences of remembering how truly blessed we are to live in these times with all our needs met in comfort. Rebekah and Dallin grew up in a small town and spent many weekends camping under the stars just for fun. Their parents also made it a point to teach them gratitude for the sacrifices of their ancestors in creating a better life for them. When Rebekah was fourteen, she was sent to a wilderness camp for troubled youth by her parents in trying to get across this very important message.
She shares: "My experience at Anasazi helped me to have gratitude for every meal, every shower, and every time I had running water to wash my hands in."

At Full Moon Camping Retreats, we do our best to provide you with a comfortable experience in meeting your needs and expectations (e.g. food, water, shelter, fun, toilettes, sunshine, plants, animals, scenic sites, and more). Keep in mind, however, that we are not in control of the elements or the weather, and we honor and respect any lessons that Mother Nature may have to teach.
This is what makes our retreats special and unique. Not only are you developing your spiritual super powers, but you also get to learn what it feels like to live with the land and develop respect for her teachings, her support, and her abundance of food and resources. Our Mother, the earth, along with our Father, the sun, have blessed us, their children by keeping us alive. We, the human race, are one family and one people along with all of the earth's children (plants, animals, rocks, and waters) and we believe that camping helps us remember that.
